This wait list is for purchasing a TaoStyx64 bronze stick with a cap of your choice. I'm doing a production run of these and would like to get more of them out there. I'm sorry so many of you have had to wait for me to get to you on the module list. My modules take a lot of time to be of high quality, and I have to make sure I troubleshoot everything before I send it out.
I have recently become confident with the design of the bronze stick, and am finally ready to sell the stick by itself.
This list is for purchasing the full-metal variant (not the sleeved variant) of the bronze TaoStyx64 stick and cap only. You will be able to choose whether you'd like the OEM variant or the Slim variant of the full-metal stick. This wait list is not for the purchase of any other parts (I am doing this to speed up the progress through the stick wait list). Also, putting yourself on this list will not affect your position on the module wait list.
How this works: When ALinkToTao has sticks and is available to ship orders, we will select 10 people (who have signed up first on the waitlist). Those 10 people will have an opportunity to buy the stick. We will message you when it is your turn, and you will have the opportunity to customize your stick order and purchase it at this time. Please do not message us asking what your position is on this wait list. Currently, we are only allowing one stick per person to be purchased in this way. In the future, this could change. The price of the stick will be $50 for the fully metal stick shaft itself (OEM or Slim), $11-$14 for the cap, and $2-3 for 10 extra balls of your choice (teflon or delrin). You will calculate your own shipping on the USPS website (we will provide instructions), and will pay via PayPal after we tally everything up. After you've purchased your stick, you will be removed from this list. Please do not put yourself back on the list after your order has been fulfilled as we would like to give everyone a chance at getting a TaoStyx64 bronze stick for themselves. As this grows, we may be able to support people buying multiple sticks or coming back for "seconds".
**[FYI: I will test-fit your stick in a module that has similar parts to ones you describe on your order form as parts you intend to pair with this stick. Before shipping, I will preemptively work out any issues should I see any (and if I have the parts you intend to use). On my end, it should fit tightly with good feel and movement before sending. If I see that your setup will not work after test fitting, I will recommend you change your setup or cancel the sale. Once the stick leaves my hands and enters yours, it is out of my power and becomes your responsibility.]**

As all of you know, the N64 module is an elegant, beautiful, yet cantankerous and finicky mechanical system. Everything in the module has to work together harmoniously, and one disharmonious element in your module can make its performance go from perfect to shoddy. By buying this stick individually, you are accepting full responsibility for the troubleshooting and potential post-processing of your own parts in your module to meet your performance expectations. By buying individual parts from me, you are not buying a "product" which is expected to be perfect. You are taking the first step in becoming an expert in your N64 joystick module. Like a young samurai taking up his sword, to become a master, he must become one with his sword and maintain it as he maintains his own body. Think of this as a participation in the beauty of this elegant and beautiful mechanical system. You are becoming the life force that is animating your amazing and unique N64 module. This module is nothing without you, and therefore, it is an extension of you as samurai is to sword.
Your results WILL vary depending on the bowl and gears you choose. You may not get perfect results right away since I am not overseeing your process or parts, and since you may not have my bowl (the stick is designed to fit my bowl perfectly). The stick should also fit quite well with a SteelSticks64 stainless steel bowl and definitely also a 10/10 OEM bowl. Any other bowls (either metal or plastic) may produce unexpected or disappointing results. I am not responsible for your choice of parts nor can I control said choice, and I do not have the time to troubleshoot every single problem, should they arise. Therefore, by purchasing this stick, you agree that the sale is final once the transaction is complete. TaoStyx64 is not responsible for accepting returns, issuing refunds, or otherwise for disappointing results.
The TaoStyx64 discord community is put in place to help you learn about the beauty of the N64 module and to help you become a master at keeping your module in good working order. The community is a wealth of knowledge and minds full of experience in building amazing N64 controllers.
By itself, a masterfully crafted sword is not effective. It takes a masterful samurai to wield AND maintain it. In order to use a masterful sword, you must know how to sharpen it and maintain its precision. You are now this samurai. In order for you to use an N64 control stick module, you will need to know how to troubleshoot and keep it it good working order. I have done my best to create the best parts that I can, but once the part enters your hands, the responsibility is fully on you to use it intelligently. The TaoStyx64 community (and the N64 community at-large) is full of wonderful, friendly, and intelligent people who love to help solve issues with an N64 module not functioning properly. I (ALinkToTao) will do my best to chime in with my own experience-based inputs to help you to help yourself solve your issue. If you have any difficulties or questions, we, the community, will do our best to help you on the TaoStyx64 discord server. Also, if you are inexperienced at N64 module troubleshooting and maintenance, please ask the TaoStyx64 community for help BEFORE you do any kind of modification to your stick or parts. Sometimes, the fix is very simple.
If you plan to put metal gears in a module with this stick (with gears purchased from me or otherwise), you will most likely not get good results doing so. The size of bronze gear links vary slightly, and you will most likely get gears that are slightly too small or too large. I size every part from an array of variously sized bronze gears to perfect a module. You will be very lucky if you get a perfect all-bronze module from parts purchased separately, meaning this is very unlikely.
At this point in time, I can only recommend good quality plastic gear links to go with this stick if it has been purchased separately. Feel free to try to create your own all-bronze setup if you really want to, but you have been warned about the likelihood of imperfect results.

For reasons in the disclaimer above, I was reluctant to sell my bronze stick by itself, but now I am getting much more consistently good results. The release of the newest iteration of the N64gears.com gears (v3 at this point in time) has pushed me to release my bronze stick since there is now a truly plug-and-play gear that works great with this stick. You should get excellent and reproducible results using those gears as long as you have a compatible bowl your other parts are in good working order.
