I wanted to open this up properly and explain what we are bringing into Farm Girl, why, and who it is really for.

We have officially started our training on the Secret Duo and are in the process of creating a dedicated laser room within the farm, the renovation work starts on the 8th of May. This is something I have taken my time with (sleepless nights researching!), tested myself, and really thought about before bringing into the business. The whole team is behind this and learning it properly from the ground up.

So what is it?
Secret Duo is a combination of two advanced technologies working together.

The first is RF Microneedling.
This uses a cartridge of very fine, gold plated insulated needles (typically 25 per tip) which are placed into the skin at controlled depths. As the needles enter the skin, they create precise micro channels, and at the same time deliver radiofrequency heat into the deeper layers of the skin.
This heat is what drives dermal remodelling. It stimulates collagen and elastin production, helping to firm, tighten and strengthen the skin over time. Because the needles are insulated, the energy is delivered exactly where we want it, allowing us to work deeper without over treating the surface.

The second is the “Glass” Laser.
This is an ERBIUM 1540nm non ablative fractional laser. It works within the water in the skin to gently heat the tissue without removing the surface layer. This allows for improvement in skin tone, pigmentation, texture and overall health with less downtime than more aggressive resurfacing lasers.
It creates controlled thermal zones within the skin, encouraging repair and renewal, while keeping the outer layer intact. This is why skin can look brighter, smoother and more refined over time, without a harsh recovery.
Used together, these two technologies allow us to treat both the deeper structure of the skin and the surface, which is where the results really come into their own. We will be able to introduce this laser as an extension to one of our facials too!

You may have heard of Morpheus8. I have had Morpheus myself, so this was something I really considered before making a decision. For me, Secret Duo felt more manageable as a treatment, both in how it feels on the skin and in how we can deliver it. It gives us more flexibility in depth, intensity and approach, which means we can tailor treatments properly at different depths rather than it feeling like a one level approach.
The results are incredible, but the journey to get there feels more controlled and more in line with how we treat skin at Farm Girl.

Who is it for?
This is not about age, it is about skin concerns.
It can support:
– Loss of firmness and elasticity
– Fine lines and deeper lines
– Acne scarring and texture
– Pigmentation and uneven tone
– Dull or tired looking skin

We will be launching with face treatments first, and then expanding into treating areas of the body such as tummy, arms, knees.

In terms of results, a course of 3 sessions is typically where you will see the best outcome, as we are building and supporting the skin over time rather than relying on a one off treatment.

We are still in training and setting everything up properly, and I want to make sure when we open this up to clients it is done in the right way.
