We are beyond excited to welcome a litter of adorable reverse F1B Mini Goldendoodle puppies or otherwise known as Miniature Golden Retrievers!!
~75% Golden Retriever, 25% mini Goldendoodle-
Typically you will see breeders breed F1 Doodles back to another poodle; hence the F1b Goldendoodle name (F1b= breeding a doodle back to one of its parents breed). With the typical F1b breed, puppies will be even more poodle, now 75% poodle, 25% retriever, having more poodle looks and temperament of a poodle.However, many people disliked the tight curly coat that gets matted if not consistently maintained, thin body and longer-nosed look that the Poodle adds to the mix, with a typical F1 or F1b doodle.
After speaking with hundreds of owners about their dream dog, โWhat people really want is a 30-pound Golden Retriever who doesnโt shed.โ Thatโs where the idea for the hybrid breed started โฆ where the Goldendoodle is bred back to the better breed, the Golden Retriever.
Now introducing your puppy! These F1b Goldendoodles have been bred back to the Golden Retriever side of their lineage, making them 75% Golden Retriever. These adorable pups will look and act much like classic Golden Retrievers, but with the added benefit of a coat that sheds less thanks to that low-shedding Poodle coat in the mix. These reverse Goldendoodles / mini golden retrievers will make the perfect companion for Golden lovers or those with allergies - you get that famously friendly, intelligent Golden temperament in a dog with more manageable grooming needs.
Size-wise, "Better Back" pups will be anywhere from 30 to 60 pounds. They are generally smaller than standard Golden Retrievers, but still large enough to participate in family adventures. Their coats can be either flat or have a loosely curled wave (teary bear look) depending on which parent they take after more. But no matter their fur type, you can expect far less shedding than a typical Golden Retriever.
With their loving, eager-to-please natures and minimal shedding, these pups are truly the ultimate all-around family dog. They are incredibly smart, get along great with kids and make wonderful therapy dogs, too. If you want the classic Golden personality in a smaller, lower-shed package, look no further than this unique hybrid breed!
