14th March 2020 - Freehand Machine Embroidery House Portrait

In this workshop you’ll use freehand machine embroidery to create a stitched portrait of your home or chosen building. You’ll learn the different stages of making the portrait. From initially tracing your chosen building, to stitching it, then framing it up. Meg will teach you how to add in French knot flowers, applique doors and shrubbery.
If you would like to, you will finish off by stamping the mount with a house name, street name or phrase to create a truly personalised portrait. The finished stitch could make a special gift for a wedding, new home or birthday or you could hang it in your own home to show off your new skill.

This class would be most suited to people who have done freehand machine embroidery before, like our Introduction to Freehand Machine Embroidery workshop! A photograph of your chosen building will need to be sent to New Brewery Arts two weeks before the workshop to allow initial preparation for the class.

Please note, by joining this waiting list you will only be contacted if a place on this date becomes available.
