A joint roundtable convened by the NHS R&D Forum & ARMA:
We invite expressions of interest from across the academic and healthcare sectors to take part in discussions exploring how NHS and University partners might prepare for the new HRA student research policy from 1st September 2021.

What is the new student policy?
The HRA has recently published new student research criteria (https://www.hra.nhs.uk/planning-and-improving-research/research-planning/student-research/), which require the health research/academic ecosystem to think differently about how we collectively support and grow capacity for health research through training and student experience.

What is the roundtable about?
The purpose of the event is to agree some recommendations for community action, which we will collectively publish.

The event will be approximately 3 hours and consist of a keynote presentation from Professor Matthew Westmore, CEO HRA followed by some examples in practice, discussion groups, feedback and key recommendations.

Who might express an interest to join the roundtable?
ARMA and the Forum are leading this conversation to bring interested and impacted parties together

You might be an R&D Manager or Director, course leader or supervisor, NHS service manager or research delivery staff, academic, clinical lead (across professions) or a student.

If you are interested in taking part and you able to support this work then please sign up to Waitlistr. Delegates will be selected to ensure broad representation and rich discussion.
